Description of the Works
The Riachuelo system will enable the improvement of the provision of services to more than 4,3 million people and, in future, the expansion of the sewage network system in order to include an additional 1,5 million inhabitants, thus resulting in social benefits in the following areas:

Más de 30 km de túneles que recolectarán los desagües cloacales a lo largo de la margen izquierda del Riachuelo y los transportarán hasta la Planta de Pre-tratamiento.
It is composed of more than 30 km of tunnels which will collect the wastewater of the sewage drains along the Riachuelo left bank and transport them to the Pre-Treatment Plant.

Se está construyendo en Dock Sud, Avellaneda, y tratará los líquidos recibidos del Mega Colector.
It is currently under construction in the Dock Sud area, located in the district of Avellaneda, and will treat the wastewater conveyed by the the Mega Sewage Collector.

The Underwater Pipeline
Un túnel que irá por debajo del agua volcará los líquidos ya tratados al Río de la Plata, a 12 km de la costa, completando el proceso de depuración.
An underwater tunnel, which will discharge the pre-treated effluent 12 km away from the shoreline into the De la Plata River, thus completing the treatment process.
